Social Worker

 

Provide a community-based Social Work service to individuals with a broad range of disabilities, including Acquired Brain Injury. Our team aim to improve the social well-being of Novita clients and their families lessening the impact of disability by promoting justice and social fairness, acting to reduce barriers and by expanding choice and potential.

 

As a dynamic and proactive Social Worker you will provide information, psychosocial assessments and interventions to assist individuals with disabilities and their families, in a multi-disciplinary environment. Supporting young people with disabilities and their parents or carers to identify goals, you will be linking them to services and be providing the support they need to achieve their goals.

Along with your tertiary qualifications in Social Work, to be successful in this role you will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Ideally have significant experience in a similar Social Work role
  • Demonstrate ability to provide clinical support and supervision for base-grade Social Workers in the team and contribute to the development of services.
  • Current membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and have or be committed to obtaining  AASW accreditation.

 

Novita is a child safe organisation and requires the successful applicant to complete pre-employment checks including a DCSI Child-Related Employment Screening. All Novita employees are also required to undertake mandatory training relevant to their role.

 

Total remuneration package range $65 –  $95k p.a (1.0 FTE) includes base salary, annual leave loading and statutory superannuation contribution. Enjoy salary packaging up to $15,900 of your salary, increasing your take-home pay by approximately $5,000. Further salary-packaging benefits available include meal and entertainment expenses, accommodation and venue hire, private novated leasing and additional superannuation contributions.
