Seating & Positioning Specialist (OT or PT)

About You

Bring your strong clinical problem-solving skills to this role, based in the Assistive Technology team - ideal for a senior clinician looking for a new challenge. Use your excellent communication skills to clearly articulate the NDIS funding framework and liaise with stakeholders around the time and resources required to fulfil assistive technology prescriptions. Utilise your previous experience providing a wide range of equipment prescriptions including, but not limited to, complex items in the areas of:

  • Power wheelchairs
  • Manual wheelchairs
  • Strollers 
  • Complex seating
  • Hoists and slings

Along with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration, to be successful in this role you will have the following skills and attributes:

  • An innovative, can-do attitude,
  • Demonstrated ability to apply a range of clinical interventions including MAT evaluations and complex seating
  • Experience working in a trans-disciplinary setting
  • Experience working as a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist
  • A commitment to continuing professional development in the assistive technology space
  • Experience in the development and delivery of training (internal & external)
  • Experience providing professional support to other clinicians
  • Experience in equipment prescriptions for complex items via a range of funding sources including NDIS

Total remuneration package range $85k –  $95k p.a (1.0 FTE) includes base salary, annual leave loading and statutory superannuation contribution. Enjoy salary packaging up to $15,900 of your salary, increasing your take-home pay by approximately $5,000. Further salary-packaging benefits available include meal and entertainment expenses, accommodation and venue hire, private novated leasing and additional superannuation contributions.
