Speech Pathologist - AAC specialist
0.5-1.0 FTE available

About You

Provide a comprehensive speech pathology service to children and young adults living with a broad range of developmental delays and disabilities including physical disabilities, autism and acquired brain injury. Specialising in AAC both high and low tech you will be part of an Assistive technology team seeking creative communication solutions for children, young people and adults.

 

Working as part of a diverse collaborative team approach, you will:

  • Build and maintain important relationships with clients, their families and care givers
  • Provide comprehensive assessments, recommendations and interventions for a range of complex communication needs and solutions
  • Contribute to the planning and provision of a responsive client and family-centred service

Along with your SPA Membership and Certified Practising Speech Pathology status, to be successful in this role you will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Knowledge, understanding and experience with a range of AAC options including assistive technology
  • A commitment to continuing professional development

Total remuneration package range $78k –  $98k p.a (1.0 FTE) includes base salary, annual leave loading and statutory superannuation contribution. Enjoy salary packaging up to $15,900 of your salary, increasing your take-home pay by approximately $5,000. Further salary-packaging benefits available include meal and entertainment expenses, accommodation and venue hire, private novated leasing and additional superannuation contributions.
